HYBRID CONDITIONING is a Strength & Metabolic Conditioning Group Training Class available at Hybrid Fitness & Performance. It is designed for intermediate-advanced level individuals looking to improve their existing strength & fitness levels.

The session is designed to build a more functionally fit, mobile and strong body. To further increase your existing physical and mental conditioning levels. To build character and to empower your life.

HYBRID CONDITIONING is a non-traditional form of training that utilizes specific strength training exercises in intervals (timed rest) paired with longer power endurance based exercises (Airdyne, Ski Erg, Row, Battle Rope, Modified Strongman Training etc). The main aim is to greatly increase existing fitness, strength and mental conditioning standards.

The sessions are structured in such a way that all of the body’s key movement patterns and metabolic pathways are fully stressed. The main aim of HYBRID CONDITIONING is to greatly increase existing fitness, strength and mental conditioning standards.

With HYBRID CONDITIONING, Dave takes the guesswork out of it, he will help you to meet your goals. Your movement and mobility are analyzed and monitored to maximize potential and to ensure your primary biomarkers are fully developed.

HYBRID STRONG

HYBRID STRONG is a Hybrid Strongman/Strongwoman Conditioning Class. It is catered for Intermediate to Advanced Level Individuals and Athletes looking to further improve their overall fitness, strength, power, work capacity, conditioning, absolutely torch body fat and increase their metabolism. It will combine Modified Strongman Movements with “Cardio”.

The Strongman/strongwoman Movements Used Are:

  • Farmer Carries
  • Keg Carries
  • Log Lift & Press
  • Circus Dumbell
  • Rope Sled Pulls
  • Wheelbarrow
  • Tyre Flips
  • Sledgehammer Strikes

The sessions are specifically designed to build a functionally fit, mobile, strong body and mind. HYBRID STRONG is a non-traditional form of cardio strength training that utilizes modified Strongman exercises in intervals (reps and timed rest).

The training session is structured in such a way that every single one of the body’s key movement patterns and metabolic pathways are trained, with the core been centrally stressed at different angles each and every time.

Due to the nature of the training session, Group capacity is limited to a maximum 8 individuals. This ensures that each individual gets the essential proper instruction and monitoring to get the most out of the training. The session is treated as a semi-private personal session.

HYBRID STRONG is designed to create a significant “METABOLIC DISTURBANCE” that forces the body to use energy to recover.

It directly targets and elevates your EPOC (Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption), which is defined scientifically as “the recovery of metabolic rate (calorie burning) to pre-exercise levels”.

It focuses on your ability to recover between heavy high intensity bouts and strongly develops your work capacity. The results torch fat, build lean muscle and get you fitter and stronger.

Standard forms of cardio and classes that you see being performed at most commercial gyms nationwide does little to create the kind of disturbance necessary for recovery metabolism. When you do a standard form of cardio like aerobics, running, cycling, swimming etc., you will burn calories during it. But that’s it. Once you stop, the calorie burn dramatically reduces and stops soon after.

HYBRID STRONG

When your EPOC is targeted, you will continue to burn calories for the next 24-38 hours. The key is to apply an external load heavy enough to enlist an adequate metabolic disturbance, and it must be done with varied repeated efforts.

With this form of training, you are able to take intensity to a whole new level beyond what is possible with typical forms of strength and cardio training. This equates to the greatest energy and oxygen burn, and subsequently, unparalleled fat loss.

You can actually do more to improve your level of physical fitness in 6 minutes than in 60 minutes of moderate activity. And the science is there: study after study has shown that this intense style of training is more effective than moderate exercise in terms of resting metabolic rate and anaerobic capacity.

You should only need 1 session and this introductory session will be given to you at a discounted price.

Group Classes for Men take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening at 5.30pm and 7pm, every Tuesday at 4.45pm and Saturday morning at 8am.
